History

Al T. Griffin established Griffin upholstery, Drapery and Mattress in Pueblo Colorado in 1950. Donald Griffin (son) and Robert Griffin (grandson) also worked with Al in the upholstery/drapery/mattress factory learning the old world techniques that are being used at John’s Upholstery today. Robert Griffin left the Griffin factory in the 60s, opening his own successful upholstery factory in Colorado Springs Colorado and that is where John Griffin (great-grandson) learned the family upholstery technique. After working for Dad for many years, John decided to move on and open a new and unique upholstery store, offering the many services, techniques and items the family had for so many years refined. Very few, if any, upholstery establishments offer the knowledge, quality and resources John’s will bring to your home

John’s Upholstery provides a wide spectrum of home interior services including design and planning assistance, re-upholstery of furniture, custom designed and custom built upholstered furniture, antique restoration of upholstered furniture, refinishing, and custom window treatments, pick up and delivery are complimentary in designated areas. John’s also carries hundreds of rolls of in-house fabric on the bolt which can be purchased online or at our facility, or we have a large fabric library featuring all of the industry’s premier fabric stores.
